  1. Traveller: We're in Lindau tomorrow. Where can we have breakfast with a lake view?
  2. Lena: There are two cafés with a lake view at the harbour. The smaller one opens at 8 and is quieter.
  3. Traveller: And a bike ride after that?
  4. Lena: Take the ferry to Bregenz and ride back along the shore. I'll send you the route.

24 hours for one adventure.

Travellers find you by place and topic, in the app and when they ask their AI about your place.

When someone books you, you are there for their questions for 24 hours. The time starts with your first reply, waiting before that does not count.

Without locals, we don't manage a region.

Locins manages a region itself when locals and Adventurers are active there and we know the region.

Locals bring a region to life on Locins:

  • Current: You keep the places in the Atlas up to date, even when a café closes.

  • Reachable: Travellers have someone on the ground they can ask.

  • Connected: You know the hosts, shops and cafés that take part.

  • Spread out: You show quiet places and times instead of crowded spots.

  1. Apply

With your Locins Pass, programme Adventurer, rubric Locals. Tell us your region and one sentence about you.

  2. Review by hand

The Locins Team reads every application and asks how you know your region. If it does not fit, we tell you why.

  3. Confirm the rules

Three rules, confirmed once, for everything you share.

  4. Approval

The badge and the rubric Locals are on your Locins Pass. Your profile goes live and travellers find you in the app.

Your rules as a local

  • Only what you know: You recommend places you have been to yourself.

  • Say it openly: If a place gives you something, you say so.

  • No selling in chat: You advise, you do not advertise.

Common questions.

Do I have to live there?

No. If you are there regularly and know the region well, you can be a local too.

How much time do I need?

As much as you like. When you have no time, you pause your profile.

Can I lead tours?

Yes. Tours in the mountains, on the water or with groups often need a qualification and insurance. You sort that out before you offer them, and you are liable for them.

What do I get for it?

At first something in return, such as a night's stay. Payouts come later, once they are settled.

Which language do I write in?

Yours. Locins translates both ways and the original stays visible.
