Accessibility statement
Statement date: October 14, 2026. Last checked: October 14, 2026.
Locins should work for everyone, including with a screen reader, magnification, keyboard or voice control.
This statement covers the website locins.com and all its pages, in German and English. It doesn't cover the Locins app or websites that businesses run with Locins Terminal.
What the website offers: on locins.com you find out what Locins is, get the Locins app, create an account for your business or book a call.
For websites built with Locins Terminal: we build the Bricks in them to WCAG 2.2 level AA. The statement for such a website is made by the business that runs it.
Where we stand.
We measure ourselves against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 at level AA and the European standard EN 301 549 in version V4.1.1, which includes WCAG 2.2.
The website is partially compliant with these requirements. The open points are listed in the next section.
How we checked: ourselves, with automated tests on every page, using only the keyboard, with the VoiceOver screen reader on iPhone and Mac, with magnification at 200 and 400 percent and with “Reduce motion” switched on. There has been no check by an independent body so far.
What's met:
- Structure: every page has exactly one main heading, headings follow a fixed order, and header, content and footer are marked up as regions. A “Skip to content” link sits at the very top.
- Keyboard: everything can be operated with the keyboard. Focus is always clearly visible and is never hidden behind other elements.
- Text and contrast: normal text has a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, large text at least 3 to 1. You can zoom up to 400 percent without scrolling sideways. You can change line and letter spacing without losing content.
- Images and films: every meaningful image has alternative text in German and English. Films have no sound, and what they show is written next to them. Every film can be paused.
- Motion: if your device reports “Reduce motion”, we show still images instead of animations. Nothing flashes.
- Controls: buttons and links are at least 24 by 24 pixels, 44 by 44 on phones. Forms have visible labels and describe errors in words.
- Language: every page declares its language so screen readers read it correctly.
What doesn't work yet.
We know about these points. For each one, we give you another way.
- Easy-to-read language and sign language: there is no content in easy-to-read German or German Sign Language. If you need something explained more simply, write to us. We'll answer in plain words.
- Files in the press kit: the images and films in the ZIP package on the Press page have no embedded descriptions. The descriptions are on the Press page next to each file.
- Phone: we don't have a phone number. You can reach us via the form, by email or by post.
- Other providers' pages: the App Store, ChatGPT and Claude have their own accessibility rules. We have no influence over them.
Found a barrier? Tell us.
Briefly describe where things go wrong. If you came from a page, we fill in its address for you.
Prefer email: hello@locins.com, subject “Barrier”. By post: the address is in the legal notice.
We reply within two working days and tell you how and by when we'll remove the barrier. If you need content in another form, such as plain text, we'll send it to you.
If we can't help.
If you're not happy with our reply, you can turn to two bodies.
Arbitration: under section 34 of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), you can apply to the arbitration board under the Disability Equality Act. It mediates between you and us. Arbitration is free of charge, and you don't need a lawyer.
